Research
- Interests: The main interest of my research
is in the area of database technology. I am especially interested in XML
data management in a database environment. XML has become the ubiquitous
and “standard” language for web data/document publication; huge amount of
data/documents formatted in XML has kept mounting up in a tremendous
speed. Effective management and efficient querying of XML data are in
great demand. My recent interest is focused on developing new storage
models and novel query processing/optimization techniques suitable for
XML. My other research interests include data mining, bioinformatics, and
the persistence issue of intelligent agent systems.
- Current focus: my current focus is on XML data
management and XQuery optimization (access
limited to team members only).
- Publications: click here for a full listing of my
publications (recent papers are available online in PDF)
What's New
- Opportunities for
thesis/dissertation study: plenty of research topics in the exciting
area of Cloud Computing. Please email me or just stop by for more
information.
- Subject for the non-thesis
option available as well!!
