o    Bioinformatics as an emerging area is expecting to rationalize modern drug design processes. This course may bridge the gap between your gained knowledge in CS and the broad and highly profitable pharmaceutical industry. It may simply opens yet another bright window for your future career.

o    The course includes a primer of molecular biology (so no prerequisite on biology is needed). The course addresses important and practical computing problems in bioinformatics, and develops algorithmic solutions to these problems.

o    You may not realize that Bioinformatics straddles over two of the three most promising areas, IT, medicine, and energy,  that Bill Gates predicated for the coming decade at a town hall meeting.
