Abdullah Aydeger, Ph.D.

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University since Fall 2020. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Florida International University in 2020 and 2016, respectively. I received my B.S. in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2013.

Before starting my graduate studies at FIU, I received Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) from Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), where I participated in research projects in the 2012 and 2013 summer.

I lead the Computer Networks and Cyber Defense Lab at SIU, where we study various cybersecurity problems as well as network management and virtualization.

My current research interests are Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Network Security, and IoT.
