Research Areas:
  • Big Data
  • Software Engineering
  • Deep learning
  • Parallel and Distributed Computing

Ongoing Research Activities
Research interest is to develop real-time Video Surveillance Applications. We employ Deep learning techniques along with apache spark to handle big-data video streams. We are working on developing systems using autonomous drones for Monitoring buildings such as school, Mall, etc. Anti-terror operations and surveillance of large festivals, sports, concerts, and events. Recovery after natural disasters such as flood, earthquake, booming or mass shooting. Drone will detect victims as it may locate a leg/hand sticking out from under rubble or above a pile of wooden blocks and a hand waving at a distance. Detecting weapons in advance even a apart of it is hidden. Drones feed the developed system with video-streams to deep learning model that is responsible to detect objects such any weapons in the terror scene, leg in disasters areas and etc.
    Current Research interests:
  • Big data real-time video analysis framework
  • Deer-vehicle Accident Avoidance System
  • Stop School Violence System
